Top 10 Best Gaming Keyboards (2021 – 2022 )

This won’t be easy! There are many factors to consider when choosing the best one: switch quality, macro keys, ergonomics, software … the best thing? I love the colorful lights. But let’s stop joking around and follow me on this technological tour!

#10 HyperX Alloy Origins 60

You probably wonder in surprise, what’s an incomplete keyboard doing in this top-ten? Don’t worry, I’ll explain it. The mini ones give you extra room for the mouse – which is perfect for controlling it in FPS games. This mini keyboard is made of aluminum and has HyperX mechanical switches that recognize every keystroke no matter how fast you type. Also, this wired RGB keyboard that illuminates each key has onboard memory to custom 3 settings.  The software’s also easy to use and is one of the most advanced as you can program the keys one by one, customize the illumination, store different profiles, and even assign macros. If you’re worried about comfort, let me tell you that you can tilt it in 3 different levels. And in case you’ve been wondering why the 60 on its name – well, that’s because it represents 60% of a full-size keyboard, like that of a laptop. This mini treasure costs 100 dollars – fair enough, isn’t it? What do you think?

#9 Razer Cynosa Chroma

This is the cheapest keyboard in this top-ten, it costs only 60 dollars! But don’t think that due to its simplicity, it forgets about some characteristics – on the contrary, it covers all the basic things to play and offers some luxurious things too. Its keys are the nicest to your fingers for its pad feeling and soft sound. The Cynosa Chroma doesn’t forget about keystrokes, you can trust that every tap will be registered. This backlit keyboard lets you create over 16.8 million color patterns. If you’re still not shocked and believe that this keyboard’s still very lame … on one hand, you’re right – but that’s its thing: to take all the standard things to their finest and continue to be very accessible. But there’s something that makes it stand out from other similar keyboards: it lets you assign macros. That is, creating complex commands that would normally use several keys at the same time – this is something that other more advanced keyboards can also do but adding special keys. How interesting, right?

#8 Corsair K65 Mini

I love this keyboard! It’s mini and took all its characteristics to another level. It features CHERRY mechanical switches that are believed to be the most advanced currently. The backlight is stunning and reacts four times as fast as other gaming keyboards. Going back to the keys, they’re heavy-duty and have an activation point of 1.2 millimeters. But the best thing is that the Corsair K65 Mini lets you set any kind of command and macros. Thanks to its FN and FN2 buttons, you should only press one of them plus another key to execute as many actions as you want – as if you had unlimited keys. This prettiness costs 110 dollars which is the same for other mini keyboards that don’t reach this potential. Also, in the box, you’ll find a detachable USB cord and a space bar with an amazing pattern that enhances, even more, its polished, breathtaking light system.

#7 Glorious GMMK

Listen to me! The keyboard that took over this top-ten costs only 70 dollars! And its distinctive feature is not being the best but … making you able to customize it as you wish. I’m not just talking about the software but the whole thing. For example, it comes with black keys and Gateron mechanical switches – which is respectable, but you can take off all that and attach CHERRY or Kailh switches and any kind of key. The best thing is that you don’t need to weld anything, you can attach things as easily as you take them off and replace them, knowing for sure that the keyboard won’t take apart while you’re playing. Also, it’s total programming options, you can set anything you want in any button, even macros. One more thing, The backlight is really smooth which is easier on the eyes for some people. You get almost unlimited options with the Glorious GMMK for a lower price, leaving you cash for all the modifications that you want.

#6 Kinesis Freestyle Edge RGB

You’ve never seen something like this before! Did someone break this keyboard in half? No! It was designed like this to offer a new level of ergonomics. As these are two boards connected by a cable, you can put each one where it’s more comfortable for you and, if you’ll play only with one hand, you can put the other board where it won’t get in your way with the mouse. About its keys? It uses CHERRY mechanical switches with up to 4 options to choose from when buying – it’ll depend on the type of noise and resistance that you want. No matter what you choose, it assures you that every tap will be registered so don’t worry about the keystroke speed. It lights up each key, has 9 programmable buttons, and an FN key that lets you activate additional functions in any key. Its programming software is very nice and easy to use. It costs 220 dollars – which is a fair amount for what it offers. Even though It could take you a while to get used to this keyboard, it’s still a great option.

#5 SteelSeries Apex Pro

Here we’ll level up. The most incredible thing first- OmniPoint mechanical switches underneath each key. Unlike other keyboards, with this one, you don’t need to change the switches to modify the bump, sound, or press of the keys because you can set the OmniPoint switches in each field. Plus, the activation point speed is up to five times faster and they’re twice more durable. On the other hand, it also features an OLED screen to change between setting profiles quickly. You can go from a noisy keystroke with a long travel distance to a quiet keystroke with a short one. This backlit keyboard also has media controls, and you can place its cable in 3 different ways for your ultimate comfort. Speaking of which, remember its wrist rest that you can detach whenever you want. This act of leveling up costs 200 dollars – fair enough for its great deal of customization.

#4 Logitech G915 TKL Lightspeed

Wait, what?! A wireless keyboard? It may seem silly to use this device because it’s not connected through a cable and your commands could be milliseconds late. However, that has nothing to do with Logitech that, along with its Lightspeed technology, offers the same action point speed that any wired keyboard has. When you order it, you’ll be able to choose from 3 types of GL mechanical switches – it’ll depend on the type of sound and durability you’re into. Also, you can be totally sure that they’re as good as the CHERRY switches – although the travel distance is short because the keyboard’s very slim which is another feat of Logitech. The backlight gives it a refined look. Plus, it has media keys. In the box, you’ll find a USB cord to charge it and you can also play while it’s charging. It could be better? It’s priced at 230 dollars and I’m crazy about it. But, but … don’t rush into a decision because this top-ten just gets better.

#3 Corsair K95 RGB Platinum

Oh, yeah! We go back to the wonderful CHERRY switches and this time we find them underneath a keyboard that doesn’t skimp on anything. Check it out! You can enable the backlight using an easy program, this keyboard has media buttons, and 6 amazing macros on the side where you can set any command no matter how complex it is. Also, these macros have a special texture so as not to get mixed up with other buttons. There are 8 megabytes of onboard memory on this keyboard to store several setting profiles and it’s a wrist rest with different surfaces on both sides for greater comfort. Something that I love about this device is that it isn’t overpriced but totally affordable. It costs 200 dollars! And when it comes to playing, it won’t only register all your commands but it’ll do the same with key combinations if you try to execute some complex combo. This keyboard knows what you need.

#2 Mountain Everest Max

In this number, we already reach the very best. I’ll begin with the most interesting thing. You can attach and detach its numeric keypad either on the right or left side, or you can just get rid of it and have extra room for the mouse. It’s media controls but it hasn’t just any buttons – it’s a circular digital screen you can control different adjustments with and it also has extra buttons for direct actions. This backlit keyboard also has a wrist rest. But let’s take this seriously because it uses CHERRY mechanical switches in an edition that reduces noise to the maximum – though you can replace them with the ones you prefer. Plus, it’s 4 special keys in the numeric keypad and you can put the picture you want in them as they have their own screen in the button and you can also turn them into macros. For 270 dollars you can get the top mechanical keyboard – kind of expensive but if you take into account all its components, it’s fair.

#1 Razer Huntsman v2 Analog

What could be better than number 2 that has it all? Well, this keyboard with superb technology. Forget about the mechanical switches because these ones are opto-switches. This means that under each key there’s a laser that – when you press a button – you get in their way, activating your commands. Not only that because you can also customize the travel distance without having to change the keys. Another unbelievable thing you can do is press them from almost any direction because they’re ready for it. By the way, it’s reinforced so it’ll last a long time. Plus, it has a wrist rest, media controls, and a very interesting thing like a USB port on the side so you don’t need to stretch out to reach the CPU and connect your device. This treasure – that is obviously a backlit keyboard – costs 250 dollars. It’s more modern and cheaper than the previous one and this makes it astonishing.
